| Totana
 Totana is a typical modern, spanish working town just 10 minutes drive from Lorca centre in the direction of Murcia yet is full of history. A simple drive through the town demonstrates its traditional artisan roots with beautiful architecture and craftsmanship. Set way above Totana is the traditional market town of Aledo in the stunning Sierra de Espuña mountain range. The rural mountain drive from Aledo to Totana is breathtakingly beautiful. Totana offers all the facilities of a modern town, health care, banks, shops, schools, bars, restaurants, and access to the E15 motorway is very straight-forward without encroaching on the town itself at all. .jpg) Along this route there is a wonderful rural hotel and close by is the lane leading up to the vast statue of Jesus Christ overlooking the entire Lorca valley. This is the last one in a line of statues depicting the crucifixion running all the way up the mountainside overlooking Totana and the Lorca valley.
New build property in and around Totana is less common but click here for a very small develpment of just 8 properties, some of which are almost completed. 3 plots are left only (as at 15 October 2007). These properties are on level plots and with more or less cycling distance from local shops, bars, health centre, banks and railway station in La Hoya.
